Night dives in Águilas

Night dives are usually done at three main locations: the El Hornillo dock, Isla del Fraile (La Cresta, Pared Sur or El Mogote) and La Pava.

The most impressive thing about these dives is seeing how the marine life changes at night: if you dive the same spot during the day and then again at night, it will feel like a completely different place.

On these dives we place a lot of emphasis on the buddy system, taking extra precautions if anything. Night dives are always shallower, usually not going beyond 15 metres deep.

The minimum certification required for these dives is Advanced Open Water, or currently training in that speciality, since the night dive is usually one of the most popular optional dives within that course.

Requirements

  • Advanced Open Water certification (or currently training in the night speciality)
